Factory Explosion leads to Wrongful Death Lawsuit filed by Worker’s Family
On February 6, 2015, an explosion at the Ultratec firework manufacturing facility in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama left two workers dead. The family of one deceased worker has recently filed a lawsuit alleging that the company failed to provide a safe work environment, and names Ultratec, the property manager and distributors as well. An investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) revealed 13 serious citations and 1 lesser citation. The family is asking that a jury decide the damages in this case.
