Jury Awards $2.7 Million to Family of Motorcyclist Killed by Drunk Driver
In Denver, Colorado, a jury has awarded $2.7 million to the family of a 23-year-old motorcyclist killed by a drunk driver. The motorcyclist was at an intersection when he was rear-ended by the drunk driver, who then fled the scene. The drunk driver has since pled guilty to vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The victim was an Airman at Buckley Air Force Base.
