Doctor Dies as Result of Malpractice by the Institution She Worked For
The family of the late Dr. Jennifer Sidari is seeking damages against the Geisinger Health System where she worked. Dr. Sidari checked herself into the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in May 2013 due to lingering headaches, where she was admitted and then transferred to Danville. Three days later she died from hemorrhaging in her brain from a failure to diagnose blood clots which could have been easily treated. The allegations of malpractice include failing to obtain a consult by a properly certified hematologist and failure to act upon suspicion of a stroke. Now, Dr. Sidari’s family and their attorney are fighting with Geisinger to produce corporate payroll data to prove her loss of earnings.
